A Fruit of Passion from Solo Development

A single developer handled the planning, writing, system implementation, and direction, bringing together a cast of 34 voice actors for full voice acting and a legendary composer's original score to create this cinematic drama that pushes the boundaries of the visual novel genre.

This is a remastered version of "Red Spider2: Exiled" a full-voice hardboiled adventure game with multiple endings originally released in 2014.
The entire story and all endings of the main game are available to play for free.
A total of 34 cast members participated, with a total voice recording time of 9.6 hours (in Japanese).
A paid "Donation ver." which includes DLC such as art books and production notes, is available for players who enjoy the game and wish to support the development team.

Story

Set in 2007. Lycoris, a cold-blooded assassin raised in the underworld organization "Spider Web," is ordered to eliminate her acquaintance, a police officer named Lai. Instead, she defies the order, kills the client—Lai's superior, Lau Kin-ming—and goes on the run from the organization.

With Lai's help, she finds refuge with the triad syndicate "Red Flower Society." Arranged by their leader, Yeung Kwun, she flees to Thailand. But her past refuses to let her go.

Zhang Lei, the head of a rival syndicate who knows her tragic past. Wolf, her fellow assassin and soulmate who shares her darkness. And the relentless police force closing in on all of them.

Set across Thailand and Hong Kong, the blood-soaked fates of those living in the underworld intertwine.
For a woman who could only ever live as an assassin, what kind of fate will she choose at the end of this endless cycle of bloodshed (karma)?

He was once a KTV customer who frequented Lycoris, and at the same time, he is a man of deep karma intimately connected to the deaths of her parents. Beneath his ruthless demeanor, he secretly cares for her well-being.

He possesses high deductive skills and a mysterious ability to see into the true nature of people. Noticing what lies behind Lycoris's cold mask, he finds himself torn between his duty as a detective and his awareness.

Nice to meet you. So you are the boss's femme fatale.

An officer at the Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station. An intellectual detective and colleague of Lai who is investigating the Lau Kin Ming murder case. In reality, he is a mole embedded deep within the police force by the "Hung Hing" syndicate. Due to past events, he harbors a fierce distrust of women, but as he involves himself with Lycoris—who is unlike any other woman—his emotions begin to shift.

Even so, she doesn't look completely consumed by darkness to me. It's as if, even in the world of darkness, she herself shines like a cold moon.

An aloof and good-natured police officer. He is Lycoris's benefactor, struggling to rescue her from the darkness of the underworld. While pursuing the truth behind the case, he closes in on the darkness within the police department, making a grave decision near the end of the story.
The Lawyer Drawn to Yvet

Francis

It's not a question of whether it's possible or impossible. Which world do you want to live in?

The son of The Red Flower Society's leader. He had kept his distance from the organization, living in the straight world. Initially harboring a strong aversion to Yvet as a member of the underworld, he gradually finds himself drawn to her as he gets entangled in her cruel fate, ultimately making a shocking choice.

塩生康範Yasunori Shiono: Member of the TAB Production Sound Create Team. Composed music for PC games at Wolf Team and SFC games at Neverland Company. After temporarily retiring, he returned as a composer for the “Red Spider” series. The music from “Estpolis Chronicles” is used in Yuzuru Hanyu's ice show.

中島享生Yukio Nakajima: Affiliated with magicana Inc. After working as a composer at Neverland Company, he became independent and has composed music for numerous mobile games, primarily for GungHo. His representative work includes "Puzzle & Dragons," co-composed with Kenji Ito.

Series

The Hong Kong noir visual novel series"Red Spider" debuted its first game in 2014, followed by the releases of "Red Spider2: Exiled," "Red Spider Anecdote: Triangle," "Red Spider3: A Heroine Never Dies," and "Red Spider Anecdote: The Longest Nite." The release of remastered versions also began in 2025. All titles are fully voiced.

The series depicts the turbulent life of the protagonist Yvet, an orphan raised as an assassin, set against the backdrop of Hong Kong.
